Poetry is not just content. As well as architecture, poetry has patterns, structure and harmony, and a big part of its beauty relies on it. This gave birth to the Poetry to Architecture Translator which attempts to translate those common qualities to three-dimensional space.

Overview

The project visualizes the hidden structures of poetry in the form of a building complex. The rooms of the tower-like buildings represent the phonemes contained in the words. The roofs and surroundings represent the POS (parts of speech). The buildings are connected by bridges which are located depending on the relations between words ( e.g. rhymes or alliterations ). Additionally, the program also analyses the emotions conveyed by the words and modifies the aspect of the objects and overall lighting based on color and form psychology.

The process of translating poetry to architecture goes through 5 main phases:

4. Construction
5. Stylization
